The expedition spans 5 days and 4 nights, starting with your arrival day. The first night will be spent at our lodging in Senaru Village, while the next three nights involve camping at various locations on Mount Rinjani: Sembalun Rim (2,668 m), Segara Anak Lake (2,000 m), and Otak Gawah (1,600 m).
This itinerary is tailored for climbers who prefer a more measured walking pace, ensuring each destination on Mount Rinjani can be enjoyed through a leisurely journey.
Visitors typically reach Pemenang port from Bali or the Gili Islands, though some may arrive via Lombok airport. No matter where you come from, transportation to our homestay in Senaru is included in the package. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome at our homestay, along with a delightful dinner. Enjoy the stunning views from our outdoor dining area and watch the playful monkeys nearby. Additionally, you can opt for a leisurely 20-minute stroll to Tiu Kelep waterfall, conveniently accessible from the trail right in front of our homestay.
Begin your journey with a 45-minute drive from Senaru Village to Sembalun Village, starting at an elevation of 1,156 meters above sea level (masl).
After the drive, embark on a 7-hour trek covering a distance of 9 km from the starting point to the campsite at Sembalun Rim (2,668 masl), passing through pos 1 at 1,300 m, pos 2 at 1,500 m, and pos 3 at 1,800 m along the way.
Begin the ascent to the summit at 2 a.m., reaching the peak at 3,726 meters for the sunrise, a journey lasting approximately 3 hours. The sunrise spectacle unfolds around 6:05 a.m.
Following the summit experience, descend to Sembalun Rim, covering 3.8 km in about 2 hours. Subsequently, at an altitude of 2,668 meters, enjoy breakfast before continuing the descent to Segara Anak Lake at 2,000 meters, a trek of 3.7 km lasting 3 hours
On the third day, descend from Segara Anak Lake to Otak Gawah, a trek spanning approximately 5 hours and covering 4.6 km. Our campsite will once again be set up at this location
Descend from Otak Gawah at 1,600 meters to Torean Village at 600 meters, a journey taking approximately 3 hours and covering a distance of 7 km.
Following this trek, enjoy a 15-minute drive to Senaru Village, marking the end of your memorable journey.
