The 2-day/1-night Summit package for Mount Rinjani is designed for those eager to conquer Lombok’s majestic peak in the shortest time possible, leaving plenty of opportunity to explore the wonders of this remarkable island. Starting and ending in Sembalun village, East Lombok, the trek kicks off with an ascent to the Sembalun Crater Rim on day one—an enchanting campsite offering panoramic views of Lake Segara Anak and the active volcano, Mt. Barujari. Day two begins at 2 a.m. with a hearty breakfast, followed by the final push to the summit of Mount Rinjani. After witnessing the sunrise from an elevation of 12,224 feet (3,726 meters), the trek descends to the Sembalun Crater Rim campsite for brunch before returning to Sembalun Village.
Visitors typically reach Pemenang port from Bali or the Gili Islands, though some may arrive via Lombok airport. No matter where you come from, transportation to our homestay in Senaru is included in the package. Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome at our homestay, along with a delightful dinner. Enjoy the stunning views from our outdoor dining area and watch the playful monkeys nearby. Additionally, you can opt for a leisurely 20-minute stroll to Tiu Kelep waterfall, conveniently accessible from the trail right in front of our homestay.
On the first day, the trek from the entrance to the campsite takes approximately 7-8 hours. Covering a total distance of 9 km, this journey involves an elevation gain of 1,483 meters, from 1,156 to 2,639 meters above sea level.
On the second day, we will wake up very early at around 2:30 a.m. to catch the sunrise from the top of Mount Rinjani.
